Apple to unveil iPhone 5 Tuesday Oct 4

Apple fans are pumped up! The computer and gizmo maker is expected to announce a new version of its extremely popular smartphone this week, more than a year after it unveiled the very successful iPhone 4.

Last week, Apple emailed invites to their media event at its home base in Cupertino California on Tuesday morning. The invite stated; let's talk iPhone, implying the company intends to show off the latest version of the phone. In the past, Apple has introduced a new iPhone during the Summer, but this year it seemed Apple wanted to hold off until the fall.

Tim Cook should take the reigns this time as keynote speaker, although we here at Apple news online would like to see how Steve Jobs is doing with an appearance whether on stage or off.

Other expected news from the show will be iOS updates with live presentations and information about the latest on iCloud. Will Apple even mention wacking iWeb out from under its user base? Probally not. I sure would like to hear something or anything about "sorry about that".

Stay tuned, should be an interesting Tuesday.
